Lessons for a Lifetime
This is one of Cindy’s most popular programs. In Lessons for a Lifetime, Cindy teaches you to train and work with your own horse.
Cindy recognizes that equine training is an investment. Often clients will send their horses to a trainer, only to realize upon the horse’s return, they are unable to maintain the training their horse has received. Through her Lessons for a Lifetime program, she first demonstrates, then instructs and observes you performing the exercises needed to set you and your horse up for long term success. She is also there to help you get through the “tough spots”. You have “homework” to complete with your horse between training sessions. Training sessions are typical held once or twice per week.
This program is for the horse person who wants to actively be involved in their horse’s training. For maximum efficiency, your schedule should allow time to practice the exercises with your horse between your training sessions with Cindy.
Cindy may choose to include up to 4 people and horses in one session if they have similar goals and skills.
COST: $380.00 for a package of 4 sessions with up to 6 weeks to redeem all four sessions. Each session lasts from 1-2.5 hours depending on the level of difficulty of the tasks being taught. Travel fees may apply if not held onsite at one of Cindy’s training facilities.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available at one of Cindy’s training facilities; or potentially at your location depending on her schedule and your training facilities. Private lessons may include training for you, your horse or riding lessons.
COST: $95.00 per hour. Travel fees will apply if held at your location. Cindy will be happy to discuss travel fees with you ahead of time.
Foundation Training, Colt Starting & Problem Solving
Cindy prefers that you be actively involved in your horse’s training. She also understands that you may have life obligations that prevent you from doing so. In this case, Cindy offers a Foundation Training program.
Her foundation program includes one complimentary evaluation for new clients at one of her locations. During the evaluation, Cindy first observes you working with your horse and in turn, she will work with your horse. Afterwards she will discuss with you her observations and propose an action plan for your horse’s training program. You will have a chance to observe Cindy working with your horse to make sure her training techniques are compatible with your preferences and goals for your horse.
Cindy only accepts a limited number of Colt Startings per year. She will be happy to discuss available options with you.
Cost: $1500 per month plus feed, hay, supplements, farrier and vet expenses. Location would be most likely at one of her training facilities unless you are located close by with available and appropriate training facilities on your site.
